If you follow Sarah Palin’s career and life as closely as I do, you must read Ms. Dowd’s column in the New York Times on July 5 and July 8.

She is brilliant! Ms. Dowd I mean. So is Sarah Palin, in her own ways. Read and you will know why.

I am disgusted with Bill O’ Reilly. No correction, I am disgusted with the whole bunch of reporters at Fox News.

When Sarah Palin, yes the small town Governor turned celebrity, was introduced as the running mate of John McCain in the Republican National Convention, any person with minimum sensibility understood she was dumb. The beauty queen and pageant winner but dumb nevertheless. However, some other people begged to differ. They asserted over and over again how McCain had made an exceptional choice. They covered for Sarah Palin and lied to save her from the criticisms. They defended her when she messed up the “Bush doctrine” explanation in the Charles Gibson interview and tried bluffing her way through the Katie Couric interview. They wrote vicious speeches for her, transformed her into a showgirl by giving her a $150,000 wardrobe. All this, she enjoyed immensely. She loved the cameras, the cameras loved her back, she smiled and waived at everyone, flaunted her legs in skirt suits and showed off her prized family at every campaign. She is from Wasilla, some very obscure town in Alaska! Alaska, gawd! So when you offer her the possibility of the vice presidential office on a silver platter, why will she not jump at it? But then, if you support her, lie for her, back her up at every step of the way how come on November 5, you trash her? You, Fox TV Network, send an investigator and hire people inside the McCain campaign to dig up the dirt about Sarah Palin. I am no fan of hers, but this disgusts me. In the guise of endorsing a candidate and a campaign, Fox News has taken advantage of her loss, squarely put the blame on her small town shoulders and has sent her off packing as quite the loser to her tiny town of Wasilla.

Pathetic. Bill O’Reilly and the rest of the bunch! I wonder where your conviction lies, that is if you have one at all.
